Dr. Gina Nga Nguyen’s journey in medicine began long before she earned her Medical Degree from the University of Southern California. After arriving in the U.S. as a refugee in the 1990s, she witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by families with limited access to healthcare. That experience shaped her calling: to serve, advocate for, and uplift communities like the one she came from.

She completed her Family Medicine residency at UC Irvine and has since cared for diverse patient populations — from immigrants and the uninsured at Nhan Hoa Comprehensive Care Clinic, where she served as Medical Director, to retirees and students at Coastal Family Medicine. Her approach is rooted in compassion, partnership, and empowering patients to make lifestyle choices that improve their health.

When she’s not in clinic, Dr. Nguyen can be found outdoors swimming, hiking, or exploring nature with loved ones. She also enjoys gardening, playing piano, biking and pickleball.
