Wilian Grijalva began his nursing career in the Emergency Department, where he developed strong assessment skills and the ability to manage acute, high-acuity conditions in a fast-paced setting. He later served as Charge Nurse, strengthening his leadership abilities in team coordination, patient flow management, and maintaining quality care under pressure.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing Leadership from California State University, Fullerton. To expand his clinical scope, he completed his post-master’s Family Nurse Practitioner training at Bradley University and holds dual certification as FNP-BC and FNP-C.

Wilian began his Nurse Practitioner career in a family practice in South San Diego, providing comprehensive primary care across the lifespan, including chronic disease management, preventive care, and acute illness treatment. After two years, he transitioned into a mobile provider role serving the elderly population, where he managed complex comorbidities and delivered patient-centered care in the home setting.

Wilian’s diverse background in emergency medicine, leadership, primary care, and geriatrics has prepared him to efficiently evaluate and treat acute conditions while maintaining strong clinical judgment and compassionate communication. He is committed to delivering accessible, high-quality care and contributing positively to a collaborative urgent care team.
