Chantal Angyal is a board-certified Physician Assistant born and raised in San Diego, California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing from California State University, Sacramento where she also competed as a Division 1 NCAA gymnast.
Driven by a strong interest in health and its impact on quality of life, Chantal transitioned to a career in medicine, working as a physical therapy aide prior to physician assistant school. She received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Pacific University, Oregon, and continued her education there to obtain her Doctor of Medical Science. Her doctoral research focused on healthcare issues affecting the houseless population, barriers to care, and strategies to improve care access and outcomes.
Chantal is particularly passionate about dermatology, mental health, sports medicine, preventive medicine, and promoting positive lifestyles for optimal quality of life. She strives to build strong therapeutic relationships with patients, ensuring comfort and understanding of care plans.
Outside of work, Chantal enjoys spending time with friends and family, working out, cooking, learning languages, and traveling — even living in Sydney, Australia, and Madrid, Spain for several years! She is excited to be practicing in San Diego, serving the community she calls home.
