Nossa Maya, MD, is an internal medicine specialist located in San Diego with over 20 years of experience in the medical field.

She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, IL from 2006 to 2009 and graduated from the University of Baghdad College of Medicine in 2001. She is board certified by The National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. She served as a Medical Director AdvancedElegant Weight Loss & for Family Health Clinic since 2018.

Dr. Maya has experience in managing hypertension, familial hypercholesterolemia, joint steroid injections, diabetes mellitus, weight management, and has published work on Tolosa Hunt Syndrome. Dr. Maya has received several honors, including multiple Honor House Officer Awards and an Academic Achievement Award.

She is a mother to 2 children and enjoys hiking, piano, table tennis, baking, and bike rides.
